MATLAB programmin​g workshop


Dear Undergraduate and Graduate ISE students,

MSU INFORMS Student Chapter is organizing a Workshop on MATLAB programming on Thursday November 1st at 4:00 pm in the third floor computer lab in McCain (room 360). A tentative outline of the presentation is as follows:

[1] Introduction to MATLAB programming (Basic operations, data types, functions etc)
[2] Graphics plotting 2D and 3D
[3] Numerical computations
[4] Encoding solution techniques for discrete optimization search problem in MATLAB.

Presenter: Mr. Seyedmohsen Hosseini, PhD Student, Industrial & Systems Engineering department, Mississippi State University.

Pizza and drinks will be provided. We hope to see you there.

Online options for Academic Integrity Week: October 29 - November 2



Academic Integrity Week will be October 29-November 2.  This will be a campus-wide event, with units across campus sponsoring programming in support of academic integrity and research ethics.

The MSU Libraries will participate in this event and our activities are open to both on campus and distance users!  We are hosting two workshops:

Keeping It Honest! Avoiding Plagiarism in Your Papers
Tuesday, October 30, 3:00 p.m., CST
Research Ethics & the Graduate Student
Thursday, November 1, 2:00 p.m., CST
